- Crone: I honour you for your sensible, compassionate and consistent parenting. I only wish there were many others like you. It sounds like your son is really TRYING to do the right thing, but something's a bit out of whack. A simple, common suggestion would be that your son is affected by high-energy attention deficit syndrome, and prescribe a stimulant, such as Ritalin. I DETEST a wholesale approach to the behaviour of young children in a new environment. But I know of cases (including myself) where it has helped focus, to be less "all over the place." He may be an unusually bright child who is BORED. Ask your physician about that, too. Perhaps he simply needs more challenge or stimulation. Maybe he's having problems learning to read? Sometimes, not being able to read makes a child to act "goofy". It's important to remember that some very bright people have problems with dyslexia. (I know a man who was literally a "rocket scientist", who had been written off as a dummy until he learned to read, in the Navy!) Generally speaking, boys tend to be more active and less self-controlled than girls at the same age. And that's just the way people are, whether we like it or not. You sound like a kind and competent parent. Just keep in touch with the teachers, and your family doctor as needed, and carry on as you've been doing. You deserve much praise.
- April R: Sounds to me like your son likes the attention he is getting from you guys. He is communicating through his behavior. He is saying that he would like more quality time with you guys. I read everything you were saying and the routine sounds great but I didn't see you mention the time that you spend with him. I can tell that you love your son and that he is a very healthy boy. I think that if you guys play some board games or do what he likes for a least 30 min or so a day you will notice a change. Good luck and keep doing what you’re doing.
- Jay C: i would recommend you get him checked out for attention deficit disorder,as i used to have it,i eventually outgrew it,but if he has then it could continue up until his teens.the only reason why i recommend you get him checked out is because this is what i used to do when i was younger.

- Caz: you need to explain to the teachers that there isnt much you can do and try and have a behaviour plan in school that reflects the one at home where possible
- rennicke: he nay be over bright and bored at school maybe the work isn't stimulating him enough so he acts the clown then again he may have an illness like adhd i would get him checked out do the teachers at school complain about his work is he doing well in class having said that he is only five and he doesn't realise yet that education is important try maybe saying to him if you are good in school today we can go on a special trip this week end and then if he behaves badly the next day the threat of the trip being cancelled may inspire him to behave at school get him eye q you can get it in liquid form or chewy tablets and see what that does it may help failing that talk to your Doctor and see if he can help

I Keep Having Dreams About The Clown From It?

I’ve only seen that movie once a long time ago, but recently i’ve been having dreams about him. I’m in a car with my friends, we’re driving around and we pass him. I see the clown standing there on the sidewalk in front of a grassy field. He’s holding balloons in one hand and waving at me with the other. Then the car crashes and I wake up. What do these dreams mean?

That sounds awful. You are feeling doomed in some area of your life. You feel your are fated to fail because of some short coming you have yet to resolve. Good luck.

This means that the clown is your friend and he wants to give you balloons (happiness) but you’re afraid that he’ll try to kill you before you obtain them. He’s not a bad man. Ronald McDonald, on the other hand, is friggin evil.

I read the book as well as saw the mini series. The book was disappointing, when at the end the IT was a clown. WTF !!!! Obviously something must be bothering you, it’s freaky.
